Rapper Vacío’s Unconventional Journey: From the “Naked Party” Scandal to Military Registration

From Scandal to Service: Rapper Vacío's Surprising Military Registration Journey

In an unexpected turn of events, Russian rapper Vacío, also known as Nikolai Vasilyev, has found himself amidst the spotlight once again, but this time for a rather unconventional reason. Following his involvement in the scandalous “naked party” at the Mutabor club, Vacío, upon release from arrest, has chosen to register with the military and undergo a comprehensive medical examination, as confirmed by his legal representative, Roman Popov.

Popov, addressing the media, stated, “Like any law-abiding citizen of Russia, he registered with the military and passed a medical examination. Now the issue of his fitness for military service is being decided.” This surprising move has left many wondering about Vacío’s motivations, particularly considering the nature of his recent legal entanglements.

Notably, Vacío expresses a deep sense of patriotism and views military service as an honorable duty, proclaiming his love and support for the Motherland. The rapper’s decision to embrace this path adds a unique layer to his public persona, provoking discussions about the intersection of art, celebrity, and civic responsibility.

The initial controversy arose from the “naked party” organized by blogger Anastasia Ivleeva at the Mutabor club in December of the previous year. The event, attended by numerous celebrities, including Ksenia Sobchak, Philip Kirkorov, Lolita Milyavskaya, and Dima Bilan, garnered significant attention due to its provocative dress code, resulting in a wave of public outrage.

In the aftermath, Ivleeva and other attendees were compelled to issue apologies. Legal repercussions followed, with the Khamovnichesky District Court registering a class action against the blogger for one billion rubles in compensation for moral damage. The Lefortovo District Court also imposed a fine of 100 thousand rubles on Ivleeva under the article of the Code of Administrative Offenses related to the “Organization of mass presence of citizens in public places, resulting in a violation of public order.”

Vacío’s own legal journey took a different route, with the rapper facing a 15-day arrest for petty hooliganism and a 200 thousand ruble fine for alleged LGBT* propaganda. Subsequently, he was arrested for another ten days on charges of disobeying the police. It was during this period that the Moscow Public Monitoring Commission revealed Vasilyev’s unexpected detour to the military registration and enlistment office, where he received a summons.

As the public awaits further developments in Vacío’s newfound commitment to military service, the rapper’s journey continues to unfold in a manner that defies conventional expectations. This intriguing narrative invites reflection on the evolving roles of public figures in society and the diverse paths they choose to navigate.
