How old Hollywood actresses dressed in everyday life – MegaloPreneur

The simple and cozy outfits of Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, and Audrey Hepburn are the best instruction on how to dress feminine and elegant even at home (and it’s very easy).

Over the past few years, our ideas about home wardrobe have changed dramatically. If earlier we sent there the most unnecessary and useless things that we no longer want to wear to the exit, now those who have not previously thought through a separate home wardrobe have begun to purchase complete sets that look stylish and modern. With the onset of the pandemic, home outfits have become almost more important to us than going out. And for inspiration, oddly enough, you should turn not to our contemporaries, but to the Hollywood divas of the 20th century. They knew better than anyone how to create spectacular images not only for going out but also for those calm and measured days that they spent at home with their loved ones. We decided to analyze the home outfits of the most talked about Hollywood divas of the 20th century – and adopt effective techniques,

    Marilyn Monroe

Perhaps it is this blonde who owns the title of the most coveted and discussed film star of the 20th century. During her short life, she secured a solid first place among the Hollywood actresses of the past century, who influenced not only cinema but also the fashion world. And, of course, celebrity fans are especially interested to see what the star wears off the set). For public appearances, she preferred frank ones, in everyday life she dressed in more relaxed ones, which, it is worth saying, ideally set off her beauty and emphasized the dignity of her figure. Her wardrobe is based on cozy knitwear, comfortable turtlenecks, cropped trousers, pipes, and comfortable flat shoes. Despite her curvaceous figure, the star adored crop tops and cropped shorts in the summer, so she’s the best role model if you’re still shy about your curves (and for good reason).

    Grace Kelly

With the entry into the royal family of Monaco, Grace completed her acting career. True, these changes did not affect the wardrobe: her style practically did not require refinement. Before the marriage to the Prince of Monaco, so after the Hollywood diva was the standard of sophistication and elegance. Her status obliged her to dress luxuriously at home – however, this seemed to be only a joy to the star. Dresses with an accentuated waist, tight-fitting knitted cardigans, voluminous high-waisted breeches, complemented by sleeveless tops – all this perfectly adapted to the wardrobe of the Princess of Monaco (and looks relevant even 60 years later).

    Audrey Hepburn

The main postulate for Audrey Hepburn when choosing home clothes was comfort. And despite the rather relaxed things, even in simple knitwear, she looked cute and attractive. The star was especially devoted to thin knitwear – cardigans and turtlenecks, which are easy to combine with loose-fitting trousers. In the summer, Audrey turned to her huge collection of light pastoral dresses and sundresses that did not hinder movement and allowed her to survive the lingering heat.

    Jane Mansfield

Kinodiva adhered to a frank image both on the screen and in life. This was partly due to the fact that her main competitor (and at the same time role model) was Marilyn Monroe. With her, the American star was compared most often – and not always in a positive way. Therefore, Mansfield tried to maintain a high bar even in matters of home images. Corset dresses and tops with tight micro-shorts may not be the most comfortable uniform, but for Jane, it was an important point in retaining the title of one of the most talked about movie stars of the last century.

    Brigitte Bardot

It was important for Brigitte to look attractive and seductive not only in public but also at home. True, the star was able to find the perfect balance – so that things do not hinder movement and allow you to comfortably spend an active weekend. For a walk on the beach, straight-cut jeans and a striped navy top. For weekdays at home – a light dress with an ascot collar or relaxed trousers paired with a T-shirt.
