A large fire and explosion occurred on Monday on a railway bridge near Elephant & Castle tube station, in south London (United Kingdom).
The station has been evacuated while a total of 10 trucks and about 70 personnel were deployed to the place to extinguish the fire, according to the London Fire Brigade.
The agency said that the fire spread to three commercial units located under the railway bridges of the station, as well as four cars and a telephone booth.

The incident caused the diversion of trains. ” There are road closures and it is advisable to avoid the area and keep doors and windows closed,” firefighters reported.
The causes of the fire are being investigated. The police said that “the events are not believed to be related to terrorism .”
There were no immediate reports of people injured.
