Microsoft Edge’s Split Screen feature introduced a few months ago, is set to receive a significant improvement in the form of a new vertical layout. This enhancement, currently in the Canary version, allows users to choose between two layouts: the existing horizontal layout with side-by-side web pages and the new vertical layout with stacked tabs.
Users can seamlessly switch between these layouts by clicking the three-dot button, and they can also resize the split screen by dragging the dividers. This improvement offers greater flexibility and customization to users when multitasking with multiple web pages.
In addition to the new layout option, Microsoft aims to enhance user understanding of the Split Screen feature. Users will soon receive additional graphics that provide clear explanations of the behavior of each layout option. This visual aid will make it easier for users to utilize Split Screen effectively for their browsing needs.
Microsoft continues to refine and expand the capabilities of its Edge browser, offering users improved features and functionalities for a more efficient and enjoyable browsing experience.
