The film will have an alternate ending.
American director Francis Ford Coppola has completed work on the new version of The Godfather 3. According to Meduza, the film will have an alternative beginning and ending.
The director also re-edited some scenes of the film, restored video and sound. The new version of the film will receive a different title – “The Godfather of Mario Puzo, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone.”
Paramount will release the film for a limited release in December for the film’s 30th anniversary. Later, “The Godfather 3” will appear on streaming services and on DVD.
The first two The Godfather films were released in 1972 and 1974 and won a total of nine Oscars. The third part is considered the weakest part of the trilogy; it received two Golden Raspberry anti-awards for the performance of the director’s daughter Sofia Coppola.
