Technical access problems arose among Russian users of the social network VKontakte, the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange and the WhatsApp messenger, RBC reports. In addition, Rostelecom subscribers reported problems in the operator’s work, including in the work of the fixed Internet.
The VKontakte network was the first to suffer from a failure, and then the St. Petersburg Exchange faced technical problems. According to a representative of the exchange, trading stopped at 19:00 Moscow time, and the reasons for the failure are being investigated.
According to the publication, about 70% of WhatsApp users experienced difficulties sending messages, and 17% complained about the overall performance of the messenger application.
