Famous creator Pierre Cardin died today at the age of 98, his family announced, AFP reports.

The famous Carden died in a hospital in the city of Neja, west of Paris. Carden was born in 1922 in Italy but emigrated to France as a child.

He founded a fashion house in 1950, which he turned into a fashion empire, reports “DW”. He will be remembered for his visionary creations, but also for making elegance available to the general public.
