Former left-back of Arsenal and Chelsea, and English international Ashley Cole (41), became an assistant to Frank Lampard on the Everton bench.
Lampard invited Cole to join him at Everton, and he accepted, according to English media.
– I was thrilled when I received Lampard’s invitation to join him at Everton. It’s a great opportunity at a fantastic club and I come ready to work hard and help make the club successful. Another plus is that I will be working with Lampard again. He is a great coach and leader, Cole said.
Lampard believes in his former teammate.
– Everyone knows his career and what he achieved. He is now a respected coach who has gained a reputation working with the English U-21 national team. He will bring enthusiasm and experience, Lampard said.
The two won the Premiership, four FA Cups and the 2012 Champions League together.
