Sunlight can positively affect the body’s resistance and vitamin synthesis
With the arrival of summer and summer heat, we spend more and more time outside and can’t wait to go on vacation to relax physically and mentally. As a result, we are exposed to the sun more and more often.
Sunlight can positively affect the body’s resistance and vitamin synthesis. It can also improve our mood because it stimulates the release of serotonin – the “happiness hormone”. But what we do know is that it is important to avoid excessive exposure to UV rays because they cause the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles, and some other pitfalls may not be talked about as much and are good to know.
The sun reduces the visibility of scars
Scars can affect our self-esteem, especially when we have them on some exposed parts of the body. One way to reduce the visibility of scars is to sunbathe. Sunbathing will, at least for a short time, but not for a long time, make the scars less visible. That scar that may once have stood out because it’s darker will be less visible as you tan. This is the most effective trick for those with lighter skin tones.
Sun exposure improves sleep quality
When we are exposed to sunlight, it slows down the production of melatonin – a hormone produced in our body and linked to sleep control. Then our body gets a clear signal that it is no longer night, which helps maintain a normal sleep rhythm. When it gets dark outside, the body receives a signal again that night is coming and we start to feel tired and sleepy. Low levels of melatonin production at night are caused by overproduction during the day. This is associated with poor sleep quality, especially in older adults. That is why we sleep firmer and more beautiful in summer and wake up much more rested.
Excessive sun exposure leads to a drop in immunity
Due to excessive sun exposure, there is a risk of falling immunity. A drop in immunity can be a trigger for unpleasant phenomena such as herpes on the lips or surrounding skin. All those who have had herpes or fever on the lips at least once in their life know how painful it is, but also an aesthetically “awkward” experience.
