The British queen has not lived a “normal” life, but she grew up in a palace with staff who serve her at every step. But what interests us is that she has never eaten pizza!
Her Majesty Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, has never eaten flatbread, according to Darren McGrady, the Queen’s former chef. The queen has almost never sunk her teeth into cheese-filled breadsticks from Dominos or a pepperoni party in the form of a pan pizza – and then she certainly does not know what she is missing.
Darren worked in the palace for 15 years and the pizza was never served to the queen even though others in the family ate pizza, but the chef often cooked flatbreads for Princes William and Harry. He adds, however, that the queen is immersed in dark chocolate, which is gratifying to know; that she has it to indulge in goodness in everyday life.
