    Shocking rescue of a man trapped under the rubble of a building in Izmir

    The teams have been trying for a long time to save Sari whose leg was stuck. Sari was pulled out from under the rubble 26 hours after the earthquake.


    Another injured person was pulled out from under the ruins in Izmir, 26 hours after the earthquake, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).

    Search and rescue teams established communication with Helim Sari, 62, in a supermarket on the ground floor of the building whose first two floors collapsed due to the earthquake.

    The teams have been trying for a long time to save Sari whose leg was stuck. Sari was pulled out from under the rubble 26 hours after the earthquake.

    English teacher Rumeysa Sari told AA that her father had gone home from shopping and that an earthquake had occurred at the time.

    According to the latest information, the death toll in the Izmir earthquake has risen to 28.
