Dmitry Tarasov opens up about online criticism and his transformation

Dmitry Tarasov, formerly of Lokomotiv, is a bit vain, he once had a hair transplant. And more recently, the athlete had veneers and now sports a snow-white smile.

Apart from everything else, Dmitry Tarasov promises that he works out every day. Also, a lot of Internet users thought that he has lost a lot of weight to the point of even looking worse.

“He was totally shriveled up, like, shriveled up”; “I don’t recognize Dima Tarasov!”; “What happened to him?”; “Did his wife suck him dry? ”; “Soon his wife will look healthier than him”: “He’s lost a lot of weight!”; “He doesn’t eat at all!”; “He probably worries a lot”; “He seems to take care of himself, but he looks rumpled,” commentators write.

Dmitry himself prefers staying mute about such speculations. He has confessed that he is above all that chatter of haters. But, there was a term when Tarasov himself got mucked up by the negativity around him.

“I have reacted a couple of times, but then I thought: ‘What can I really do after the fact? Find out where this person lives?’ Then I started to look at it differently because even if a person writes bad stuff, he’s still watching you. But lately, I don’t read negative stuff about myself at all – if I see them online, I’m scrolling through them. That once, I used a tactic and worked: every time they wrote me nasty things, I’d say, ‘Have a nice day’ to them. People are just luring me into correspondence this way. Hate doesn’t make my life. It’s hard to hurt me,” said the 37-year-old footballer during a conversation with producer Georgy Ivaschenko.

Tarasov left the professional sports scene some years back. He is now into one of the media leagues, holding the office of president under his own team. The athlete considers himself a success, but for some reason, people do not believe in it.

Recently, Tarasov’s wife, Anastasia Kostenko, who has borne him four children, was embroiled in a loud scandal that involved having compared her operated brother to a fighter, which a lot of people thought she did mockingly. The head of the League for Safe Internet, Ekaterina Mizulina, also joined this story.

“It is unacceptable to publicly ridicule people who, risking their own lives, defend the Motherland and are injured. We sent to law enforcement agencies materials with a request to conduct an investigation,” Mizulina noted.
