Russian President Vladimir Putin met with North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Son Hee in the Kremlin, the head of state's press service reported .
A video of the meeting released by the Kremlin shows Choi Son Hui thanking the president for the meeting and conveying “warm, comradely greetings from Kim Jong-un.”
In response, Putin reminded that today is a holiday in Russia, “and celebrating it with friends is a very good tradition.” He also conveyed return greetings to the North Korean leader.
The North Korean minister arrived in Moscow on October 30 and held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov last Friday. At that time, she, in particular, stated that Kim Jong-un had instructed her to provide assistance to the Russian army.
“From the very beginning of the special military operation, the respected comrade Chairman of State Affairs Kim Jong-un gave instructions that we, without looking back at anyone, should unfailingly and powerfully support and provide assistance to the Russian army and the Russian people in their holy war. Until the day of victory, we will always firmly stand next to our Russian comrades,” she said.
Lavrov, in turn, announced that relations had reached an unprecedented new level. “The partnership is truly strategic in nature, including in terms of the intensity of political dialogue,” he noted.
