In just two weeks, the most beautiful women from all corners of the planet will compete for the title of “Miss Universe.” In the meantime, the public is happily discussing them.

It turns out that not everyone meets the generally accepted standards. This year, one of the most unusual participants in the international competition was Logina Salah. The 34-year-old model suffers from vitiligo: some areas of her skin lack pigment. However, she is not embarrassed by her own flaws.

“I am excited to represent Egypt, women with vitiligo and anyone who has ever felt like they don't belong. After being bullied as a child for my skin condition, it took me 15 years to love myself. My mission is to empower those who feel excluded to know they are not alone and I aim to make an impact on the pageant scene,” she said

It is worth noting that Russian Valentina Alekseeva also faced hate. The 18-year-old model steadfastly endured the criticism and noted that her beauty was noticed by her rivals.

“Yes, I am not perfect, because I am human. I should not be liked by everyone, because we are all different, and that is great! But I am very grateful to the people who sincerely and from the bottom of their hearts congratulated me. May everything you wished for come back to you tenfold. The most frequent phrase that people wrote to me was: “You really deserve this title.” This phrase touches me deeply.

A representative of Venezuela, 29-year-old Ileana Marquez Pedroza, also caused heated debates on the Internet. She became the first mother to win the high-profile title. The model said that she applied for participation in the competition immediately after the organizers allowed married and divorced women to participate.

French woman Indira Ampio also became a topic of discussion on social networks. She is the fourth representative of Guadeloupe to win the Miss France contest. However, fans of the contest were excited by another fact: the 20-year-old model is the niece of French footballer Frederic Tejou.

Francesca Rustem, 19, from Albania, has received her share of criticism for her thick eyebrows. “Even makeup artists tell me that they need to be thinned out a bit, and I tell them not to touch them. I want to keep them like this. It gives them character,” the model explains.
