Fashionable catwalk looks that the most stylish movie heroines would love this season

taught us how to wear a trench coat chicly in “American Gigolo” and how to pair it with burgundy accessories long before this year's dominance of this trend. Melanie Griffith in “Working Girl” helped define the élite power dressing. And Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway in the movie “The Devil Wears ,” made us think that there is no proper style transformation without at least one Chanel look.

And what would the most stylish movie heroines wear today? Would they remain faithful to their choices back then, or maybe open themselves up to experimentation? From the looks from the fall-winter 2024 and spring-summer 2025 runways, we choose those that could win the hearts of our favorite, always perfectly dressed screen icons.

Holly Golightly from “Breakfast at Tiffany's”‘ ego' wouldn't abandon her iconic look, but she could opt for a modernized version

The styling of the main character of the movie Blake' and Edwards based on Truman Capote's novella has permanently etched itself into the history of film and fashion – it helped define a silhouette that would later dominate the entire 60s, and it turned a black dress designed by Hubert de into the most iconic little black dress of all time.

Today, Golightly probably wouldn't give up this classic look, but she certainly wouldn't resist the temptation to try it in a more modern version. She could have found inspiration in the collection, where cocktail models clearly inspired by her dress appeared with wide leather gloves and futuristic glasses.

If Elle Woods from Legally Blonde still wore pink, she would find a lot of new inspiration in the spring-summer 2025 collections

The omnipresence of pink in the spring-summer 2025 collections in a variety of shades, from pastel baby pink to a strongly saturated raspberry shade and fuchsia, would certainly please Elle Woods, who has made this color her trademark and greatest weapon.

If she were to continue pursuing her career as a lawyer and had to combine her love of the candy color with following a specific dress code, she might be interested in Chanel's spring-summer collection – she would wear a crochet dress combined with a bolero for more and less formal occasions. I wonder what accessories she would choose?

Michelle Stratton showed us how to wear a trench coat chic and sexy in “American Gigolo.” She could present another version of it in the spring-summer 2025 season.

Lauren Hutton's character's look with an oversized' masculine-inspired trench coat and bag in the flagship intrecciato braid in burgundy remains one of our favorite on-screen looks. Every year, we remind ourselves of it, building outfits around the classic coat. Perhaps with the arrival of spring, Michelle Stratton would be in the mood for a little change. She would still remain faithful to her favorite trench coat maybe this time she would go for a model with a slightly stronger, exaggerated , but instead of a bag in a deep shade of red, she would choose red shoes like from the collection.

Working Girl's Tess McGill helped define ‘ 80s power dressing, so she could be the biggest fan of Office Core this season.

The main character of the 1988 film, played by Melanie Griffith, walked through office corridors in suits with extremely wide shoulders, massive , and a briefcase bag. Since she was then the greatest ambassador of power dressing – an aesthetic that, next to disco, probably best illustrates the enjoyable mood in fashion – now she could promote its modern version in the form of the office core trend.

McGill could, for example, abandon the sets of jackets and skirts in favor of oversized' suits from the Anthony spring/summer Vaccarello for Saint Laurent, and wear a tie with a white shirt. It would be the best demonstration of her strength and fashion sense.

In the movie “The Devil Wears Prada,” Andy Sachs sealed her spectacular metamorphosis with a Chanel-labeled look. If she still had a soft spot for the brand in 2024, she could have chosen a modern variation of that look.

The Chanel total look, which is the culmination of the transformation of the heroine of the film “The Devil Wears Prada”, is not only fond of the film's fans – the actress, Anne Hathaway, also looks at it with exceptional nostalgia. If Sachs were still so keen to dress up in the creations of the fashion house today and remained faithful to the style from almost 18 years ago, she would certainly not have missed the silhouette from the brand's autumn-winter 2024 collection.

The tweed jacket was replaced by a stylish sheepskin coat, and instead of leather boots, the main role is played by a suede model, still with a shaft reaching below the knee. The flat cap was also Sachs's favorite accessory at one time, so this season she could experiment with it to her heart's content.

There is probably no fan of the film and fashion who would not remember Margot Tenenbaum's fur coat from the film “The Royal Tenenbaums”. This season, in its faux version, it is the biggest must-have
