Overknee boots are the secret to style for autumn 2024

Even though we have already styled our cowboy and biker boots with denim shorts and mini dresses in spring and summer, THE boot trend season is only just beginning. From autumn onwards we will be using the full range – western boots and biker boots are still relevant, but another shoe trend is being added: over-the-knee boots will make their big appearance in autumn 2024. In addition to the classic black, there will be completely new variants.

Shoe trend: This is what over-knee boots will look like in autumn 2024

For example, over-the-knee boots are getting a new coat of paint, in the truest sense of the word: The shoe trend for fall 2024 shines from burgundy to saffron to khaki (seen at Gucci, Chloé, Ferragamo and Fendi). Some models are longer – their shaft extends well over the knee (like at Ferragamo) – and still, other variants stand out with biker-style elements (like at Versace).

The great thing about it is that this variety also allows for a variety of styling options, which can look more elegant, cooler, or tougher depending on your choice. For example, match your outfit to the color of your boots – or deliberately create a contrast. Wear the over-the-knee boots with miniskirts and leggings or let them peek out from under long, flowing dresses. The looks from the catwalk inspire this.
