Gillian Anderson (56) wowed at the premiere of her new movie at the Toronto Film Festival, where she showed off her perfect shape wearing a tight black sequined dress.
Forever engraved in the audience’s memory as Scully from the “X-Files” series, Jillian is also dedicated to women’s health topics, especially perimenopause and menopause problems.
“I felt like I was going crazy ,” Jillian described the symptoms of which she began to feel the first symptoms even before her 40th birthday. “My life was falling apart, as if someone else was controlling my brain. Only when I started thinking about the possible internal reason, I realized that it could have something to do with hormones .”
According to the famous actress, it’s amazing how little women know about menopause. In particular, there is a lot of misunderstanding about its introduction – perimenopause – when a woman still has regular menstruation, but feels anxious, experiences hot flashes , has mood swings and gains weight in the abdominal area.
“I remember how I used to throw my coat on the floor, in front of the children, and shout, “What a terrible day.'”
Many times during the day I was able to get up in the middle of a conversation and go to the bathroom to cry . I, who used to be able to balance many things, now I couldn’t do anything.”
