Erdogan met with Merkel on the sidelines of the NATO summit

Erdogan is scheduled to meet with several leaders during the day, including US President Joe Biden.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Brussels.

The meeting is being held behind closed doors at the NATO headquarters and on the sidelines of the summit of the leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The Turkish president previously met with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Erdogan is scheduled to meet with several leaders during the day, including US President Joe Biden.

During the summit, the presidents and prime ministers of 30 NATO members will discuss a number of topics and hold a series of bilateral meetings, while respecting the measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
