The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) will allocate over 12.5 million rubles this year for the implementation of the Arctic Teacher project. The funds mentioned will be used to attract specialists to the remote northern regions. This was reported on the Day of Knowledge, September 1, at the press service of the regional Ministry of Education and Science.
“Agreements on cooperation between the authorities of the Arctic regions will be signed, measures to support teachers in the form of payment of travel and lifting costs will be envisaged,” the department explained.
